All methanol-free formaldehyde is distilled from a basic aqueous solution of paraformaldehyde. It is therefore ultra-pure (no sodium formate) and is free of additives or preservatives. The 20% solution is packaged with a head of argon gas to reduce the possibility of oxidation. Larger quantities are available on request.   MSDS
