This compact microwave is the result of collaboration with the CNR Biological Imaging Facility at the University of California - Berkeley. It is intended for the researchers,
histologists and microscopists needing to process tissue quickly through embedding to view cell morphology. It can also be used for post microtome for staining or
immunochemistry. Excellent cell preservations of both plant and animal tissues are possible quickly using this tissue processor. Our exclusive True-to-PowerTM output power from
about 20 watts to about 825 watts of microwave power, without cell damaging pulsing, common to the lower priced tissue processors. The microwaves begin the instant they are
called for giving consistent protocol processing. The programmable controller can be set to program controlled temperature ramp rate and soak time, controlling the power as
needed. The controller measures the sample temperature and then sets the power level needed to achieve and maintain ramp and soak temperatures. This microwave is not
intended to be used on samples that are dry or smaller than 250ml of liquid solution. The tissue processor can be operated in the automatic mode or in a manual mode where
the operator sets the power level. Cavity exhaust air exits from the exhaust port on the left side of the oven. This keeps the cavity from building up hazardous or obnoxious fumes.
This microwave meets the CAP Anatomic Pathology Checklist requirements for laboratory microwaves when properly installed and maintained. There is a single vacuum
or inert gas line feedthrough in the lower left of the cavity. The thermocouple is field replaceable. Applications: The LBP111 has been proven to give good tissue processing and cell images. The
True-to-PowerTM power control and the cavity design yields tissue processing without the need of water loads or water-cooling. This is a large advantage
over other research level microwave tissue processors. The LBP111 is ideal for immunochemistry, histology, low volume pathology and cytology, staining, antigen
retrieval, cell fixation and other life science applications in human, veterinarian and plant research. We have even had researchers use it for fixing EM material samples using
polymer based setting solutions. This microwave can also be used for general laboratory work where good control of microwave power with temperature control is needed.
Please Note!! Our microwave ovens are production tested for electrical and microwave leakage safety and meet US FCC requirements. |
