The alumina ceramic coated tungsten evaporation basket is an internally heated crucible that is designed to provide the means for vacuum evaporation of a number of
various metals, and at the same time provide a more useful crucible life with these type metals.
Providing strongly upward evaporation in the deposition profile, these tungsten/alumina crucibles maintain molten metals evaporants as an induction
propelled spinning ball inside the cavity. Most materials can be completely evaporated without loss to the chamber. Recommended evaporant materials
are nickel, iron, or their alloys, as well as a broad range of other metals, such as gold, tin, indium and silver. Other materials which can be evaporated include antimony, bismuth, cadmium, cobalt,
copper, lead, manganese, palladium, zinc and alloys such as nichrome and permalloy.
