HEALTH HAZARD DATA

Ingestion: May be fatal or cause blindness if swallowed.

Eye: Causes moderate eye irritation.

Skin: May cause moderate skin irritation.

Inhalation: Vapors and mists generated from this product may be harmful. May irritate eyes, nose and throat.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID

Ingestion: Induce vomiting by giving 1 tablespoon of syrup of ipecac or by sticking finger down throat. Ensure that stomach contents cannot be aspirated into lungs. Have patient lie down and keep warm. Consult a poison center, emergency room or physician.

Skin: Flush immediately with plenty water, followed by washing with soap and water.

Eye: Flush eyes immediately with plenty water for at least 15 minutes.

Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Apply artificial respiration and other supportive measures as required.

 

REACTIVITY DATA

General: This product is stable and hazardous polymerization will not occur.

Incompatible materials and Conditions to Avoid: Strong oxidizers.

 

SPILL, DISPOSAL AND STORAGE INFORMATION

Spill: Shut off ignition sources. Take up with sand or other noncombustible absorbent material and place into containers for later disposal.

Disposal: Consult local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Storage: Store at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. Keep container closed. Store in a cool dry place.

Ventilation: Mechanical ventilation usually sufficient.

Respiratory: NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if TLV is exceeded.

Eye: Vapor tight chemical splash goggles.
