Primary Routes of
Entry: Inhalation,
ingestion, skin
Inhalation: Irritating to the respiratory tract. May cause narcosis, headache, fatigue,
oppression of the chest, cough, nausea, dizziness, CNS depression, and edema of
the glottis.
Ingestion: Symptoms may parallel inhalation.
Skin: May cause irritation, redness and pain. Liquid delipidates skin.
Eye: Vapors may cause burning sensations. Contact may cause irritation, redness and
pain.
EMERGENCY AND
FIRST AID
Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial
respiration. If breathing is difficult,
give oxygen. Call a physician.
Ingestion: Give water to drink. Induce vomiting if medical help is not
immediately available. Obtain medical
attention immediately.
Skin: remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with plenty water for at least 15
minutes. If irritation develops, obtain
medical attention.
Eye: Wash eyes with plenty water for at least 15
