30274 - Center It - A Tube Drilling Jig

Center It is a tool for drilling pipe and other round objects. Center It is made specifically for use in a drill press. The 7/16" groove with a 118 degree angle lets you bottom drill bit to center v-block. The 5 " long, 4" wide V-block bolts to the drill press table and enables the drilling of round pieces parallel and centered. This allows you to drill any size of pipe and wood dowels.

The grooves on the outer sides eliminate slippage while holding pipes, etc., for sawing on job sites or other applications. To use, simply place Center It on the drill press table, run the bit down (with motor off) to hold the jig centered on the bit, then bolt the jig to press table. No clamping of the tube is necessary since the angled flats of the jig hold it centered. Holes will automatically be centered on the tube with no center-punching necessary. If tubing is too large to drill in a single operation it can simply be turned over.

Vacuum Pick-Up

Handles delicate grids, substrates, thin sections, etc. without breaking or pinching. Performs tweezer functions such as picking up, holding and carrying. Vacuum is created at the tip by placing finger over control port located on the probe handle. To break vacuum, just remove finger from port. Adjustable vacuum generator lets user dial desired vacuum pressure and can create up to 14" Hg vacuum (air flow of 125 in3/min.) Unit is 115 VAC, 60 Hz and 2 watts. Demagnetizes or magnetizes parts or tools. To demagnetize: simply hold object in the center of the opening with button depressed for 3 or 4 seconds. Slowly withdraw object in a straight line. Release button. To magnetize: hold the part or tool against the inside of the opening and press the button for 4 or 5 seconds and release. Opening is even large enough to accommodate cassette tapes for quick erasure. Oblong hole is 3" x 1 1/2".
