Ladd Research sells a wide variety of apertures, microholes, filaments & screens for scanning and transmission electron microscopes (SEM, FESEM and TEM), Microprobe systems, and Focused Ion Beam. Because these dyes are very potent, additional dye is usually not necessary for Red and Blue Mercox. Use only if you wish to enhance the color and then use judiciously. The dyes are to be used principally to colorize the Clear Mercox.

For holding aperture discs or strips while flaming. Small discs can be flamed in the 3/16" diameter cup made from 6 mil platinum foil with 1/32" diameter hole in bottom to induce good flow of air. Cup is attached by 30 mil platinum wire to heat resistant handle. Aperture strips can be hung from the hook for flaming.
For holding 1/4" to 1/2" diameter aperture discs while flaming. Flat pan is made from 6 mil platinum foil with 1/32" diameter hole in bottom to induce an adequate air flow. 30 mil platinum wire attaches the pan to a heat resistant handle.

White, waxy, water soluble material used as a parting layer to permit floating a replica free from a specimen surface. Predried to minimize delay during operational pump-down in the vacuum evaporator.

We are pleased to introduce a new line of sub micron apertures. Manufacture of apertures less than 1 micron in diameter is made possible by the development of composite apertures consisting of a molybdenum (Mo) support with a thin sheet of platinum (Pt) foil fused to the surface. The sturdy Mo support contains a visible counterbore to simplify locating the very small aperture hole.
LXSR is a new line of single crystal scintillators offering advantages over YAP and YAG for use in most electron beam instruments. They are custom made in the USA to order with a 2-4 week lead time. LXSR has a very good radiation hardness leading to long life time.
