Butvar B-98 is a thermoplastic, polyvinyl butyral resin which offers a unique combination of properties for coating applications. The use of polyvinyl butyral film in a system imparts excellent adhesion, toughness and flexibility. This resin is stronger than Formvar. Butvar B-98 is the film to use for molybdenum grids and is excellent on all other grids. Solution is dissolved in chloroform.
