A rapid dehydrant for preparation of samples for electron microscopy. Undergoes hydrolysis by water to form methanol and acetone. A simplified procedure which reduces elapsed time for dehydration. After only a few minutes, the specimen can be infiltrated with hydrophobic embedding media.
