Embedding Kits for Electron and Light Microscopy Specimens
Many varieties of embedding kits for use in electron and light microscopy are available through Ladd Research. Ladd embedding kits are perfect for embedding specimines for histological applications. Products include Araldite, Benzoyl Peroxide, LR White and More.
Comes in red, blue and clear. Resin only.
All products on this page consist of 450ml of Mercox resin. Because of new shipping restrictions imposed on us by our carriers we cannot ship volumes of resin larger than 30ml per receptacle by air transport. Learn More
LR White is a polar monomer polyhydroxylated acromatic acrylic resin. It can be cured by heat or by UV light. Sections of polymerized LR White resin are hydrophilic. LR White sections also show minimal non-specific staining. Its low viscosity makes it ideal for infiltrating decalcified bone and teeth as well as plant tissues.
Similar to Spurr embedding kit except lower in viscosity. Exceptional penetration for an epoxy resin mixture. Useful for embedding plant and bone tissues. This kit no longer contains VCD (ERL 4206). Instead, ERL 4221 has been substituted. Learn More
Low viscosity epoxy embedding medium. Particularly useful with hard tissue. Excellent block quality. Sections stable under the electron beam. Please Note: This kit no longer contains VCD (ERL 4206). Instead, ERL 4221 has been substituted. Learn More
Low viscosity embedding medium. Penetrates specimens readily and completely. The epoxy component is completely miscible with water. Polymerizes in about 24 hours at 60º C. Learn More
Mixture of purified paraffin and carefully sized plastic polymers formulated to provide specimen support for serial sectioning down to 4 µm with minimal cell shrinkage and distortion. Supplied in pellet form. Learn More
