Stage Micrometer with Coverglass: Of great value when using transmitted light. Has micro-coverglass over the image. Overall length of scale is 1 mm, divided into 100 equal parts.
These measuring standards may be used with all microscopes. The micrometer scale disc is mounted on a black anodized slide 3" x 1". The primary use for these micrometers is calibration of eyepiece reticles. The majority of microscopes are corrected to permit examination of specimens through a micro-coverglass by transmitted light and all stage micrometers are available in this form.
