Ultra Violet Curing Chamber

Designed for quick, easy polymerization of both plastic embedding media and plastic mounting media. Specimen tray designed to hold up to 12, 3" x 1" glass slides. Ultraviolet peak radiation is 320-360 nm, so presents minimal hazard to user. Can be operated at temperatures as low as 0o C for heat sensitive specimens. Unit is compact and lightweight with external dimensions of 5 1/4" high x 5 1/2" deep x 19" wide. Has hinged top for easy access to specimen tray. Operates on 110-120 VAC, 60 Hz at less than 1 amp. The Model LD500i Dimpler has become an indispensable tool for TEM specimen preparation. The dimpling technique, applicable to a myriad of material types, yields a higher quality specimen with a broader, near electron transparent area which reduces ion milling times. The Model LD500i automates the dimpling technique so that the most demanding specimens can be dimpled to < 10 microns routinely and repeatably. Real time measurement of tool height, specimen thickness, and tool runout allow the user to precisely control the dimpling process. With the proper tooling and parameter adjustment, the dimpling technique with the LD500i can be completed with ease.
