Coplin Staining Jar with Screw Cap:

For staining, solvent preparation, plastic substrates or thin layer chromatography. Holds five 3" x 1" slides, or ten slides back to back. Heavy, clear glass with wide, flat, rectangular base. Has black, plastic, threaded cover lined with metal foil to permit tight sealing and minimal loss due to evaporation. High quality Wheaton "810" glass.

Coplin Staining Jar:

This sturdy polypropylene Coplin Staining Jar improves on the classic tapered square design with a larger opening for easier placement and removal of slides. The polypropylene screw cap is 53mm in diameter, has a flat top, easy-grip larger knurled edge, deep thread and a seal ring to prevent leaks. Can be used to stain slides in a microwave oven if cap is left loosely attached to the jar. Internal slots hold up to 10 standard 1"x3" slides back to back. Autoclavable at 121oC. Remove cap when autoclaving.
