Mica is used in the preparation of carbon substrates. Evaporated carbon film can readily be floated free from a freshly cleaved mica surface and then be picked up on grids. Sheets are easily cleaved to form 3 or 4 fresh surfaces. Flame spectroscopy analysis show this mica to be of very high quality. Packages of 12 sheets.
