These silicone rubber molds are designed with cavities to accommodate either 11mm x 22mm or 22mm x 22mm coverslips. After cell cultures are grown on sterile, PTFE-coated coverslips, the cells are fixed and dehydrated. Coverslips are then inverted onto an epoxy-filled cavity of CME mold. After polymerization, separation is facilitated by immersion in liquid nitrogen. Aids in orientation of cells and components for both light microscopy and electron microscopy. Can be baked up to a temperature of 204 degrees Celsius.
