3.5mm inner diameter loops and replacement loops. Loop is of particular value in orienting a section on a grid. Made from 10 mil nichrome wire fitted into an etched hexagonal aluminum handle for lifting microtomed sections from aqueous solutions without damage. Section rests on a droplet of liquid supported by the loop, thus eliminating tearing or twisting during processing. Specially proportioned to enter microtome boats easily, as well as fit over pegs of special specimen peg drier. Particularly helpful in freeze fracture techniques. Comes with a built-in loop protecter.
