The unit prevents excessive voltage from reaching the motor. As an additional safeguard, the unit is fused and current limited. No fragile printed circuits. Has a three-prong grounded plug. Mounted in die cast aluminum box. Operates on either 110 or 220 volts, 50/60 cycle current.
