Superior results require a careful choice of mounting medium. Stained histological sections prepared in paraffin are the least demanding. The relative stain uptake of various cells and tissue components determines the image contrast. Because this embedding medium is removed before the section is mounted, it does not contribute to the final image. Permount is recommended as a standard histological mountant for such sections.

Super Shield 842WB Water Based Silver Conductive Coating is a one-part urethane system pigmented with highly conductive silver flake. It is easy to use, with no let-down and no heat cure necessary. It can be applied by spray, brush or roller. The cured coating is smooth, durable and adheres well to plastics, wood, metal and ceramics. It also bonds well to drywall and can be painted over with common architectural paints.
