Modular unit fits any vacuum evaporator. Easily installed or removed in seconds. No time lost assembling or disassembling filament posts, arms or tungsten baskets. Adjustable height allows basket to be positioned at optimum level for evaporation of metals. Two insulated posts firmly mounted in heavy base. Moveable arms extending from each post have clamps for basket leads, with thumb screws to hold the tungsten basket securely in position. Please specify evaporator model used when ordering. Includes package of Tungsten Baskets. Two sets of posts which will hold two baskets or crucibles to allow you to do more without breaking vacuum. Same as Dual Source Tungsten Basket / Crucible Holder, but with two shields to avoid cross contamination.

The alumina ceramic coated tungsten evaporation basket is an internally heated crucible that is designed to provide the means for vacuum evaporation of a number of various metals, and at the same time provide a more useful crucible life with these type metals. Providing strongly upward evaporation in the deposition profile, these tungsten/alumina crucibles maintain molten metal evaporants as an induction propelled spinning ball inside the cavity. Most materials can be completely evaporated without loss to the chamber. Recommended evaporant materials are nickel, iron, or their alloys, as well as a broad range of other metals, such as gold, tin, indium and silver. Other materials which can be evaporated include antimony, bismuth, cadmium, cobalt, copper, lead, manganese, palladium, zinc and alloys such as nichrome and permalloy.
